ProduceAfrica ICode is a project of Produce Africa Innovator Program rolled out by Produce Africa Development and Entrepreneurial Initiative in 2019 to reach out to hundreds of teens and young adults in Africa within age 8 and 18, while they are still tender with one of 21st century‘s most sort after skills—programming and artificial intelligence.
ProduceAfrica ICode 2020/2021 campaign is targeted at Primary and Secondary School Students within Lagos State, Nigeria, to spread the doctrine of programming, to stir up their interest in programming and artificial intelligence by introducing them at zero cost to weekly programming training and mentorship, and guiding them to see possibilities and opportunities through their own innovation as they create android based solutions that solve problems in their local communities.
The idea is to “catch them young”, train and expose them early, support them continually, create a community of young innovators and thinkers and empower them for competitions and scholarship opportunities both locally and internationally.
The project will run from 27th January, 2020 to 26th January, 2021. Registration begins 3rd January 2021 and ends 21st January, 2021.
